MEDITATION BEATS HOLIDAY STRESS

yoga123

Here are basic meditation tips to help you relax: Pick a word, short phrase or prayer that is firmly rooted in your belief system that will help you focus. Try words like “peace,” “one” or a religious word or phrase. Sit quietly in a comfortable position. Some prefer yoga positions as practiced in the East. Others prefer a more Western stance: Sit in a chair where your spine is straight and your feet are comfortably flat on the floor. Hands should face upward on your lap. Close or lower your eyes. Breathe slowly. Exhale through your mouth and inhale through your nose. Other thoughts may cross your mind, but it doesn’t mean your session needs to end. Say to yourself “later” and return to your breathing and/or visualization.

Try to meditate for 5 to 20 minutes, preferably twice a day. Meditation is a discipline. So try to practice it at the same time every day.

Oh, cripes, the kids need to be picked up from soccer/basketball/French horn practice, and the post office closes at 5 p.m. Long lines at the store aren’t helping matters, and it’s going to take more than watered down eggnog to take the edge off. Maybe what you need is to just stop the world, have a comfortable seat and catch a few ohmms. That’s right. Want to feel better and maybe chase some of that
negative inner dialogue away? Meditate. Two decades’ worth of research suggests meditating — be it visualization, prayer or shutting yourself off from your surroundings — can significantly reduce stress levels.

A busy lifestyle is no excuse. In fact, meditators say that’s why you need to do it. “If you take the time to meditate, you actually create more time in your life,” says Cheri Eplett owner of Indialantic’s Aquarian Dreams, which specializes in books and CDs about meditation. “You are more efficient because you’re less stressed. So meditation is a good investment of time.” Perhaps the biggest meditation motivator lies in a recent, small scientific study that suggests locating the ohhhm can make you live longer.

Last month, researchers at Massachusetts General Hospital released a study showing areas of the cerebral cortex — the outer layer of the brain — were thicker in the participants who regularly meditated. The study, which appeared in a recent article in NeuroReport,
described results from 20 people who meditated regularly. These people had four regions of cortex — the part of the brain,
associated with higher functions like memory and decision making — that were thicker than in 15 subjects who didn’t meditate. In addition, researchers found signs that one area of the cortex seemed to have aged less quickly than it did in the folks who didn’t
meditate. Researchers are doing follow-up studies to see how meditation might effect behavior. Dr.Wasim Niazi, a neurologist at Wuesthoff Rockledge, says more research needs to be done to confirm meditation’s anatomical changes on the brain.

But he does agree mediation results in relaxation, which has been proven to reduce stress and help people focus better during their
waking hours — and sleep better at night. “But all modalities of meditation have something in common in that they are about disconnecting yourself from the impulses you are receiving — the noise and the worries,” Niazi says. “Consider that 100 impulses reach the brain every per second and most are subconscious.” Al Rapaport, founder of Melbourne’s Open Mind Zen Center says it’s
such impulses that “make us subject to a monkey mind,” he says. “Meditation helps us slow down that internal dialogue.”

But meditation practitioners say studies only reinforce what they already know. “We’ve known for nearly 20 years that meditation effects the physiology of brain chemistry and this (Massachusetts study) is the first one I’ve seen in which meditation directly effects the brain,” says Rapaport, who also is author of the book “Open Mind Zen: A Guide to Meditation.” “But for meditators, the laboratory is our own body and mind. We get the results through our experiences.” The Zen center specializes in group meditation, but Rapaport
encourages people to meditate at home as well. “All the techniques are designed to help focus the mind,” Rapaport says.

Eplet prefers to use visualization techniques and sit in a comfortable position, feet flat on the floor, her palms upward in a receiving position. Others prefer to focus on breathing. The goal is to practice daily — but don’t worry about being perfect at it.

“A lot of people don’t meditate because they are under the impression they must clear their mind and think of nothing for 20 minutes,” says Andrea de Michaelis, who publishes the Brevard County-based Horizons. She meditates twice a day. And she gets better at it each time, she says. “When I get up in the morning, the first thing I do is make myself sit when my mind is still in that foggy place,” de Michaelis says. “Once I start the process with the breathing, the cobwebs start to clear. If a concrete thought or worry crosses my mind I can release the thought by saying the word ‘later,’ which satisfies the concrete mind that wants to hang on to something.

Don’t worry if you can’t schedule a 10 or 20 minute stop-action timeframe. “Meditating for three minutes is better than nothing,” she says. “For people with kids, it can be a matter of locking yourself in the bathroom and take a bath — and hope you won’t be interrupted more than 30 times.”

Mysticism – Personal Power – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

gs403s016

Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“Personal power is a feeling, like life. Personal power is the ability to enter into different planes of reality. A great deal has been written about personal power by Carlos Casteneda, and I find his first four books valuable. Of the experiences themselves, who knows? But the principles that are presented are quite valuable for one who seeks power. There is a grace and an ease to power. You feel good about yourself and your life when you have it. It is well worth having, and it is certainly miserable not to have it.

A person without much power is easily influenced by others, whether they are physical or non-physical beings. Their life is easily ruined. They are blown around like a leaf in the wind. All living things have an aura, a rapidly vibrating, invisible psychic
energy field that protects them from toxic, non-physical energies that would otherwise be detrimental to them.

Life wears us down. We all die here. Depending upon the way you expose yourself to energies and powers and forces will determine whether you have a lot of energy or you lose energy. Everything that we do involves energy, personal power. The more energy
we have, the more we can accomplish. Freedom is within oneself. But to get beyond the thoughts and desires
requires power.

You can measure your power in your ability to stop thought. The longer you can stop thought, the more powerful you are. The types of thoughts that you think create a state of mind. The reason you think the thoughts you do results from your level of power. The reason one enters into lower mental states is because you don’t have the power or chi flowing through you. When you pick up that sword and you start to fight, a power comes to you. When you shy back from it, that’s when all the little doubts, the insecurities, the terrible deadness of the human condition surrounds you.

Winning is based to a certain extent upon personal power. If you have enough personal power you tend to win. If you don’t, you tend to lose. A person with power controls their life and their destiny.  They have a mastery. Their moments are aware moments in this world, never wasted. What is will? It is a decision. It is a decision to be something. We really aren’t anything in particular. We can be anything. That’s the good news. It is necessary to store power to be free. Right now you are in the gravity field of many different people in your life. Each person you feel attached to is a planetary body…perhaps a heavenly body! It is necessary to do a systems analysis of your life. Look at where you gain power and where you lose power.

Power comes from leading a controlled life, a happy life, a perky life. No one’s lazy. What we would call the laziest person on earth expends a tremendous amount of energy to not do things. If President Bush does a lousy job, then he’ll lose power. If the guy
at McDonalds who’s selling burgers does a great job, then he’ll be much more powerful than President Bush. Personal power is something that is not visible. We can see its effects, but we cannot see power itself in the same way we see the effects of wind; but we cannot actually see the wind.

Personal power is a feeling that everybody is looking for called satisfaction. It is different from enlightenment, but you need personal
power to become enlightened. Personal power is not the end of the process. I don’t think you have to wait for knowledge and balance to come before you seek power because you need a certain amount of power to gain knowledge and balance. Personal power is not the end of the process. It is a tool that you use to get someplace. The purpose of the car is not to live in the car, it is to drive you someplace you want to go.”

Mysticism – Gaining Power – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“Approach each task in your life, no matter how simple or how complex, with power. Personal power is really the issue. It is only through tremendous attention to detail that you will be able to gain personal power and searing self-honesty. Happy people, enlightened people, successful people all share something in common. They have learned how to manage and increase their energy. You can simulate perfection, but it’s not the same. Some one can do a copy of Rembrandt, but it’s not a Rembrandt. It doesn’t have the vibration or the power. If you want to succeed always associate with winners, people who have understood something. You will notice that they all share something in common, tremendous attention to detail in their personal lives and associations. Power has destroyed many people – not really. Power doesn’t destroy anyone. People apply it poorly and it can ruin their lives. Power is like fire. Fire is neither good nor bad. It’s how you use it.

There are two sides to increasing energy. One is avoiding loss. The other is learning how to gain energy. Meditate on your own and refine your consciousness. Tighten up your life. Constantly examine your life and look for weak points. You know what’s going on in your life. You can draw power from everything in your life. In order to do that, everything has to be set up in a proper way. Turn your life into a field of power and energy to draw from. Take your energy – instead of losing it in all the little hassles and all the little battles you could have fought with opponents who didn’t matter. You must have tremendous power of focus to direct your life and not allow all these variant forces, different vibrations, to enter you.

You have got to get your power up and do something and not just sit around. You need to constantly examine your life, inner and outer, to see where you are losing and gaining power. There are two sides to increasing energy. One is avoiding loss. The other is learning how to gain energy. Things that raise your energy usually don’t involve humans; things that cause energy loss usually involve humans. Think of your life as a field. The field is the field of action. What a mystic does is set up their life as a field of power.

Your life either takes your energy or gives you energy. Set up your life so that it gives you energy. Avoid the things in your life that take away from your stillness. Find things that add to that stillness. Bring them more into your life. It doesn’t matter what works or doesn’t. It is all individual. It is necessary to do a very thorough examination of your life and to discover whether the people in your life, no matter how much you love them, are using you or abusing you. Make lists. Write down the things that give you power. Write down the things that take your power away also. Make lists of people close to you. Are you associations raising you to a higher level of attention?

Take out two pieces of paper. One piece of paper, list all the people you know who are adding to your life. Then on the other piece of paper, list all the people you know who are taking more than they’re adding. Include people from the past. It is necessary to bring our life in order, to examine each thing, and ask ourselves if it is bringing power into our life or if it is draining us. Ask yourself, is your life taking power from you or adding power to you? What will increase one person’s personal power will not necessarily be the same for another. Energy is gained by giving energy. When we give energy, we gain energy. This is different than having someone manipulate you and take your energy.

There is an art, a science to gaining power. There is a natural force or inclination in all of our beings to accumulate power. The problem that we come into is conditioning. When we experience fear, it cuts us off from our power. It cuts us off from knowledge and experience. It is a guillotine that falls and separates. Fears are just conditioning. They don’t exist. They are something that we are taught by people who are afraid or seek to make us afraid. It is time to unload the baggage. Step one in overcoming fears is to make a fear list. Make a list of all the things that you are afraid of.  Start out with the small fears and conquer them.

Overcoming fear has nothing to do with abandoning common sense. We retain our common sense, but we lose that emotion that is fear. How to overcome fear? Be around people who are fearless. If you are afraid of other people take a martial arts class. The best way to overcome fear is learn to be proficient in martial arts. Go out and do the things you are afraid to do gradually. Gain the power to do that through meditating. You will find yourself limitless reality that knows no fear.

Be a perpetual beginner. Always be inspired. It is that attitude of inspiration and belief that creates energy. If you are happier than you have ever been, then your power is increasing. But is it a fast a rate of climb as you would like? You will gain energy by meditating deeply, by speaking the truth, by learning to be still and by avoiding the crowd, most of the time, not all of the time. It is really important that you live in a place that has good energy. Where you sleep, where you dream, where you meditate, where you spend a lot of time is key.

You need to turn your room into a place of power. It’s a good idea to have flowers around, candles, incense, you know, happy things. Make your room into a beautiful place and keep it impeccably clean. The place that you gain the most power is within your own mind. Stopping thought generates power. That is why people meditate. The longer you can stop thought, the more power you gain If you are finding that you can stop thought longer and longer, I would say your life is bringing power into your being. You are gaining things out from that field behind the house. You gain power through practicing meditation and concentration. You gain power by doing anything you like that makes you feel good. You gain power by being happy. A person who seeks power usually goes into other dimensional planes to find it. Then they bring that power back into this world and they use it to enhance their life.

Your understanding of the astral dimensions can help you alter structures in the physical dimensions.  It is in and through the medium of the astral dimensions that all of the siddha powers function and work. Meditation will bring back the powers and awareness from the past; more importantly, it will expand your consciousness today. What you need to learn are basic types of concentration, bringing more energy into your life, plugging up the holes where you lose energy, the basics of self-discovery.

The way we measure awareness is by how long you can stop thought. If you can’t stop thought at all, then you are not powerful. You might be quite evolved, but you have no access to that evolution. The unlocking of the kundalini, which occurs by meditating on the first, second and third chakras, is the entrance into the planes of power. There can be very powerful releases of energy that can catch you off guard until you have a better sense of what you are doing. I would recommend, initially, if you are trying to increase your personal power level, to meditate on the navel center, not the lower two. Power comes from the navel center. If you meditate for an hour or so a day and you focus on that sphere, you will release a tremendous power that will enter your body. We call it the chi.

Personal power is the reflection of a person of knowledge. A person of knowledge, an enlightened person, a person even close to enlightenment, has a great deal of personal power. The reason you study with a teacher is primarily for the empowerments, for someone who is enlightened to transfer power to you. What is most important is that the student uses that power intelligently and wisely An enlightened teacher teaches you how to gain power. They give you power. They teach you how to shape it so that it becomes an instrument of beauty and not an instrument of unhappiness. A teacher will alter the balance of power by actually lifting a person into other states of mind. In those states of mind the teaching will take place in non-verbal ways through direct experience. If the teacher sees that it will cause a person to progress, he will ask that person to do a task. The task is charged with power and if it’s performed properly.

A good teacher will show you the ropes in the world of power. They will give you the wisdom that is necessary to be able to use power. You just don’t give a kid a new Ferrari. You teach him how to drive it. Naturally you need someone who is versed in the ways of power to teach you a thing or two about it. When you reach the next power level, they will teach you more. It is very much like the study of martial arts. Enter into the plane of mental development. Start to increase your personal power level. Your life will become quite wonderful and very happy. You move beyond delusion.”

Mysticism – Losing Power – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“You are drained by foolish actions and others. When you allow desire, anger and frustration to dominate you, you are losing power. If your power level gets low enough, you will die. You will get in a car accident; you will pick up a disease. That is why it is very important to keep your power level high, just to be a happy human being. Life wears us down. We all die here. Depending upon the way you expose yourself to energies and powers and forces, both physical and non-physical, will determine whether you have a lot of energy or you lose energy.

Learn that happiness comes through self-control and not being angry or jealous. The only one that you really torment is yourself. It is easier to let go and gain new ways of looking at life. Everything starts within your own mind. The physical choices you make, drain your power or give you power. If your power is low, then you stay in lower levels of mind and you don’t see opportunities. When you deal with people, it tends to drag your energy down, if those people are in a lower auric state than you. If you meditate and they don’t, then by the end of the day you tend to be more drained.

The real problem is not increasing your energy. The problem is losing it. If you stop the loss and you simply meditate, you will have more than enough energy. You will learn to live strategically. Start to give more thought to the world around you. Stop exposing yourself to situations that drain your energy. You will discover through a trial and error process that you will have more energy. Watch out for dark streets in big cities because there are a lot of strange beings that hang out there at night, let alone the people. Don’t you remember anything from your other lives?

Most power is lost in one’s own mind by thinking negative thoughts, by worrying about the future, by focusing on the past, as opposed to thinking positive, strong, and happy thoughts. If you lead a sloppy life, if you indulge in your emotions, if you’re always upset, freaked out, stressful, and not happy, you are wasting power and your power level will get very low. Your life may be draining away. Every day you may be getting older instead of younger, more frustrated instead of happier. Your job, your relationships may not be evolving – then your power is dwindling.

You have to be careful that in giving energy, you do not allow yourself to be excessively drained or used. If you are a successful person and you let a lot of people in and around your life, they can drain your power. It won’t go to them, but it will leave you. In the world of power, people will come looking for you. If you’re a movie star, you know what I am saying. People will come around you, little groupie types. They think that being around you they can get something. The biggest energy losses for most people are relationships, interrelations with other people. That is where we lose the most energy, through our attachments – opening up to people who might be very nice on the surface but underneath they have a lot of problems.

If you ever care about things, that means they have power over you. Power comes from doing meditation, leading a controlled life, being conservative, not wasting all your energy on drugs, alcohol and sex and other pastimes. The guideline for all experience is how you feel afterwards. Drinking alcohol takes you into a lower state of mind. If you drink a lot of it, things get very fuzzy and they are not very sharp or defined. That brings you into a lower state of attention. Some people are like psychic sponges, they drain power form others constantly. They lower your awareness because they are at a lower level. If you spend too much time with them, you get pulled down.

If you are losing power in your relationships, with others, then you have to try and remedy that, if you can’t, you need to sever the relationship. There is a certain drop of a type of kundalini when you have sex. If you are interested in developing some of the higher range occult powers, then I would suggest you not engage in sex too frequently. If you really want to channel all of your energy towards higher mysticism, you should realize that sex does drain a certain amount of your occult energy. Human beings are confused, deluded and generally un-awakened. So as a person who seeks to increase their energy, you have to be very careful about who you have intimate contact with.

The primary place where most people lose energy is in their relationships with others. That means you lose your energy in your interactions with the people you know best. People don’t necessarily take power from you for themselves. It just means they are operating at a lower attention level and you got pulled down by it. You are not sufficiently strong enough to be with someone and be unaffected. In most cases, energy is lost in little games of manipulation, in little struggles of will, in the attempts to possess others, to wrap them up, to delude them, to shine them on. If, at the office or in different exchanges in daily living, you have to spend time with people who are at lower power levels, then you have to be aware of that and keep your awareness very much within.

Don’t be afraid of losing a little power in daily associations. People who seek power and knowledge aren’t misers. They aren’t afraid. That is paranoid. When you are afraid of someone, they can gain power over you, meaning they can drop your energy level. When we experience fear, it cuts us off from our power. It cuts us off from knowledge and experience. It is a guillotine that falls and separates.

People are taught to fear god. They are taught to fear everything. It has become such a natural state that no one questions it. Step one in overcoming fears is to make a fear list. Make a list of all the things that you are afraid of. Start out with the small fears and conquer them. Fears are just conditioning. They don’t exist. They are something that we are taught by people who are afraid or seek to make us afraid. It is time to unload the baggage.

Laughing at fear is one of the best things you can do. When you are afraid, instead of just plunging into panic, laugh. The fear gets really uptight and leaves. Overcoming fear has nothing to do with abandoning common sense. We retain our common sense, but we lose that emotion that is fear. Don’t be afraid. You are as alive as anything else is alive. Your right to be alive is as great as the right of anything else. Fear is just an idea in the mind that limits you. You cannot become enlightened if you are afraid, nor can you become happy.

Pain and suffering only occur in temporal time. They don’t occur in the world of forever. They only occur in limited transient time, which is a state of mind.

A lot of energy is lost to false teachers. Wherever dependency is created, energy is lost. A lot of people who are involved in self-discovery lose energy to abusive teachers, to abusive friends and to entities, non-physical beings. A great deal of energy is lost in the study by people who interact with non-physical beings. They get into your mind and your body by approaching you in the dream plane, promising you powers, playing on your desires. They sap your life force If your power is decreasing then you have to do something about it right away. As your power level goes down, you will become physically ill. When our power level is down sufficiently, we die. You need to shelter yourself from the abrasive forces of life that drain you and keep you in a lower state of mind. Never be bored. Energy lives off of attention. When you are bored you get drained. The United States has an incredible debt. That is obviously not the way to live. You have to eliminate waste in your life as the United States has to eliminate waste in its spending. It takes many years to become proficient in energy conservation. But it is something that happens. You get continually stronger. You see your attention field is far different than it ever was before.”

Mysticism – Psychic Self-Defense – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“You never seem to hear about psychic occult attack in spiritual literature.  This knowledge has been conveniently forgotten. Innocence does not protect you from the evil designs of others. In addition to innocence, we have to have knowledge of good and evil.People have power and it is very important to respect that. Everybody’s had thousands of lifetimes, and who knows what anyone has learned in a lifetime. Respect not fear. In the universe, there is darkness and light. We call this duality. When you seek knowledge and power, there are forces and people that will oppose you.

Not everyone is your friend. When you are psychic you tend to forget that others don’t view life the way you do. Psychic beings are childlike, delicate and easily destroyed. To not realize that everyone we think about affects us psychically, to not realize that life is a field of power, is criminal, in my opinion. If you are a sensitive and evolved being, it is simply criminal. The souls now incarnating are power souls. It is a dark age. To incarnate now one needs psychic self-defense. We have developed psychic powers in other lives. Now we have many problems because of it, many voices in the mind due to this crowded earth.

When you become empowered everyone becomes interested in you. If you just develop your psychic ability and not learn psychic
self-defense, you become more sensitive, open, and vulnerable. Avoiding things that drain you is more important than gaining energy. While it is possible to create all your own energy, most people feed off the energy of others. If you could see on multiple planes of attention you would be astonished! Energy is food. Most people on earth feed on each other’s energy, all of the time, seven days a week. The more energy you have, the more interested parties there will be in having lunch. You must consider that there is opposition from other human beings and also non-physical forces that don’t want you to succeed.

Why do people want to drain your energy?  So they can party in other worlds after death, where pleasures are a thousand-fold.  It is a fast game.  Human beings are powerful and skillful. People who drain others have a certain world they want to get to when they die, and you’re their ticket! Manipulators are very evolved. Energy is food. Forget good and bad. Is the coyote bad and the rabbit good? Many souls thrive on the life force of others…you are lunch! There are primarily two ways people can drain your energy. They can get
you to want them or what they have or they can get you to fear them. In order to drain you they must get into your attention field.

It is possible to take energy from someone else. This is usually done in close, emotional sexual relationships. In sexual contact a doorway opens between people, and it is very possible for someone to be abusive at that time with energy. If one party is trusting, it is very easy during sex for the other party to format someone, to put thoughts in their mind, to jam their consciousness or attention, to lower their energy or just take power from them.

Sexual energy becomes problematic if you use to enslave someone, to demoralize them, to hurt them, to wrap them up. The way most people use sexual energy is to hook somebody, to wrap them. Some people use the sexual energy particularly during intercourse to
take personal power from each other. Love can be used to drain people. Through eye contact people send a cord out to drain you long distance. Through sexual manipulation, anyone who can make you like them can drain you. The only people who can really drain your power effectively are people you are very close to, you are open to, you love, or people you are afraid of, you fear.

If someone has something you want, they can wrap you – they can make you think that they’ve got something that you have to get from them. They’re the exclusive source. They are the only one who can make you happy. People we are emotionally open to and close to affect us more than most people realize. If you are emotionally open to people, you will find yourself experiencing the mindset of others. The people that hurt you are the ones you love because you are the most open to them.

You have no idea of how many people have control of your life.  Make lists of people you trust and love and constantly examine the people in your life. Who do you think of first in the morning?  Good manipulators do it in the dream plane. The morning practice of meditation increases the aura to ward of negative energy. Meditate before bed if you are being attacked psychically. It is a dangerous assumption to say that people who drain energy “don’t know what they are doing.” People are sophisticated aware beings. Don’t
sit around and equivocate; they’ll drain you more. Be honest! You are not going to want to admit energy loss. Someone is
making it hard for you to look. If you are dumb enough to be drained by people then you are fair game.

Some people like destroying for the hell of it; they love destroying beauty; they try to feel those people and then crack the egg. Most people, without consciously realizing it, absorb a great deal of psychic energy from the people they casually associate with, and even a
greater amount from people with whom they have strong emotional connections. People will try to block you. Some will do it just for pure hostility. But most others are just afraid of themselves. Human beings fear light and knowledge and power. There is a weird
quirky sort of think that happens with people. When you log on to the truth and you start to become it, it threatens them because they live with countless falsehoods. People project a grey energy that is very destructive to weaken you, so as to be drained, just as the snake uses position to capture its victim.

People seek to put you in an off-balance situation so they can get to you.   Psychic people, people who meditate, are more susceptible; they are more open and sensitive.  It is easier to jam them. People can insert thoughts into your mind.  This is more dangerous for
psychic people.  Use concentration exercises and read to combat this; boredom is an easy way to be drained. Fear can be used to get into your attention. Any way a person can get you to think of them, allows them to drain you. The signs of psychic draining – we call aging. The way people age is not the way people age; everyone is draining everyone. If you drain others energy a lot, you don’t want to see this because you do it yourself; but remember, it’s real easy to manipulate a manipulator.

If are in a situation with too many people in your life and you want to go into higher attention, look in the mirror. You are being blocked. Do something about it. It might be hard. Be conscious of the way people take your energy and learn how to stop
it. Accept that this goes on. Observe how you feel around other people. Don’t always talk about your life, where you live, interests -
people learn from your vibratory form and can get inside you. Plus those relationships where you know everything about each other are boring!

Be careful of someone who starts asking a lot of questions about you. Start asking a lot of questions about them. Turn it around. In our culture we are taught to be accessible and open; it signifies a good person.  In mysticism it is the opposite, people can scan you and
drain you. People hold an image of you and project that image when they feel you are changing. Disappear for a while. Break up your routines. If you suspect someone is draining you, generally you should not confront them but be nice, relax them, and then see what they are doing.

When you see someone draining you, your being naturally cuts it off. Yet many times you can be manipulated not to see. Keep some of your attention on your navel center when you are in a situation in which you feel your power is being drained. You will find that you will keep your power tighter, you won’t lose as much. At the umbilical region we actually network with people. Picture that
you are cutting those cords to everyone you know. It doesn’t mean you don’t love them; you are just cutting down on the negative energy pickup from people. How can you tell if you are draining someone?  How far have you gotten into their life?  Are they dependent upon you?  Are you thinking of them negatively?  Does your energy drop when you stop seeing them? If someone confronts you about draining them it could be a “double reverse.”  They are draining you and accuse you instead of draining them, just to throw you off.

If a spiritual being is naive to the lower aspects of the world, they usually are killed or die young.  Did Jesus really know which of the
twelve would betray him? I doubt it. You can talk to one person for five minutes and be sick afterwards. You can be totally physically drained because their aura is so low. You can talk to someone else for an hour and just feel fine. Practice mediation and concentration exercises, and begin to think more about regaining your sensitivity by avoiding draining situations. Not because of fear but because of intelligence. Our purpose in this life is to gain the view of ourselves. Otherwise, we are total slaves to others who psychically drain us, abuse us.

On the possible dangers of inversions

It makes a lot of great points about the benefits of inversion poses, but also warns of possible dangers associated with them.  The issue
doesn’t seem to be so much one of overdoing it in a particular session, but of overdoing it in the long term. As somebody who has practiced meditation for quite awhile but is new to yoga, I am finding that inversion poses are great to precede meditation.  But I am wondering about some of the possible dangers now.

Right now I do a shoulder stand for about 5 breaths, (maybe 30 seconds) and a supported  headstand for the same amount of time.  This is at the end of my routine.  I usually follow each with a child pose, then spend a few minutes in corpse pose relaxing before I head over to the “sacred space” where I practice zazen (in half lotus) for 30 minutes. The first picture on this article is a guy doing a seriously amazing, unsupported handstand.  Not sure what exact pose that is.

Which led me to an interesting idea.  The problem with headstands and shoulder stands seem to be in the neck and shoulders which are being squished under the weight of the body.  So poses that don’t apply this pressure would probably have less risks, correct?

Several other questions then:

Would you advise against shoulder stands and headstands for a beginner, or just to go easy on them? If I keep doing them, is there a good pose that might counter the negative effects – say something that would strengthen the neck or shoulders? What about a supported handstand?  (Adho Mukha Vrksasana)  Since you are using a wall and not the neck or shoulders, this should be “healthier” I think, for a beginner, so long as you have sufficient arm strength.  (I can do it for possibly 30 seconds). Another issue seems to be spinal compression.  So I’d assume that anything that helps do decompress the spine is helpful.  If I get it aright, that includes many back bends, forward bends, and side bends as well as twisting positions, which are all part of my routine.  Also, I spend some time, (I try to do a few a day) hanging from a chin-up bar. It is an exercise I learned from a non-yoga book on stretching.  You tighten all the muscles of your body, and then release.  The release of tension causes the muscles to relax and the spine decompresses.  This is repeated with a reversed grip on the bar.

What is the “holy grail” of inversion poses?  I’m assuming it would be a completely unsupported handstand as I linked to above.  I wonder how realistic it is for somebody like me to begin working towards something like that.  (The sooner the better, so long as I am patient).  It seems that it wouldn’t have a lot of the dangers except maybe spinal compression.

Mysticism – Power Spots – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

”There are many ways to store power. You can visit places of power, special locations on the earth that are charged with power. There are many different places of power around the world. They’re invisible openings to other worlds. We find a preponderance of these places in the Himalayas, in the western part of the United States; of course, in every country of the world there’s some. There are places where it is easy to see, places of illumination, where one moves into illumined states of attention. When you go to a power place, if you are receptive, if you are able to quiet your thoughts and concentrate, a lot of that power can enter into you. If you go to a higher place of power, you can gain power there, and you might even encounter some beings of knowledge and light that might help you, aid you in some way.

The Indians in the Southwestern United States went to many places of power. They were able to have profound dream experiences where they could see into the future or know what do to and make proper decisions. There are places of power where there is more power. Just as there is more power in the chakras, there is more power in certain places. We call them places of power. If you spend time in these places, it increases your vibratory power. Pilgrimages are journeys to places of power. People sometimes make pilgrimages to the caves where Milarepa or other great yogis meditated. An enlightened teacher has personal power. Sitting and meditating with an enlightened teacher in a meditation hall or at a power spot can change you forever. The earth is not the same everywhere. Certain powers are available in one part of the earth that are not available in another part. The rich realize this. They live in these places and they use that power to stay rich. Some of the highest vibratory places one can visit have become very expensive. They are the domains of the rich. The rich figured out a long time ago that certain neighborhoods have more power. Universities are very clarifying places of power, because everyone is focused on trying to figure out exactly what to do with their lives. You get a very different type of education if you go out to the desert, to the places of power, places where it is easy to cross over from one dimensional plane to another, where power hovers, so to speak.

If you go to a place of power, the beings are higher, magnificent beings of light. They are not from our world. They pass through it, the place where dimensions touch, where there are many worlds present. The earth is alive. There are places on the earth that are very powerful. Meaning that on another dimensional level, there is an interfacing dimension where there is a crossover point between dimensions and a tremendous amount of energy is passing back and forth. At these crossover points, there are a lot of beings, nonphysical beings that cross over back and forth constantly. There are thousands of worlds, thousands of dimensional planes, billions. Life is endless. Life is endless. It goes on forever. If you go to a lower crossover point, a negative place of power, then the beings there are very unevolved, very demonic, crazy, lower than the people of this world.

There are places that are very draining. There are places where there is another dimensional crossover but to a dimension that is not powerful at all. If you spend too much time in a place like that your power level will be lowered and these beings will annoy you. Watch out for negative power places on the earth, if you can “see” they are reddish and they twist your feelings. They don’t vibrate at a rate conducive to humanity. If you must go to a negative place of power, go to them in a very conservative way. You must go to them when your power is up. It is like going to war. You have got to be ready if you are going to survive. Everything is amplified in the world of attention at night. People are more open to forces. That is why human beings cluster around each other in housing developments – a group force pervades and keeps the beings out. In the high mountains and desert beings can affect you. Most aren’t malicious, but some will lure you to your death.

There are certain areas that you can move to on the earth that will empower you and there are certain areas that can drain you. If you are seeking power and knowledge, you need to go to places that are healthy and happy and radiant. Avoid places that aren’t. Hundreds of thousands of years ago a very powerful civilization lived in what we now call North America. They congregated around power places – interdimensional vortexes where it is very easy to shift from one plane of reality to another. The United States is filled with power places. The majority of them, however, are to be found either along the West Coast and in the southwestern United States or along the Eastern Seaboard. I used to live in Seattle, as did Jimi Hendrix and Bruce Lee. I lived near the arboretum. Very often I would take walks late at night by Lake Washington, because I found it very easy to meditate there. Two of the most powerful of these power places are located in the Boston and Los Angeles areas.

Highly evolved souls tend to be drawn to these areas because it’s easier for them to increase their awareness there. For most people this is not a conscious process, it’s an inner pull that takes place, that simply draws them there. There is a power in the land in Concord, in Lincoln, in the western Boston suburbs. There’s an inter-dimensional vortex that opens in a variety of places in this area, which leads one to a transcendental reality. There is a vortex of energy at the bottom of Walden Pond. That’s were the inter-dimensional opening is. As people swim in old Walden Pond, it renews them, it soothes them. Big Sur is a fascinating place. It is one of the true power places in America. The Anza Borrego Desert is a place of power, where different planes and realities intersect. It is easier to see and enter into other planes here. A long time ago a very powerful race of Indians lived here. They were from another cycle; their being was of another composition. They are still here, even now, you can see them on the mountain rims. It’s good to visit Hawaii if you’re seeking power. You don’t really need to live here. Just to come over for a week is enough. Switzerland is another spot like this. It’s very similar. These are the two clearest spots, Switzerland and Hawaii.

For some reason, there is a purity to the Swiss Alps – a certain energy – that is very reminiscent of my snowboarding experiences in the Himalayas. There are spirits in Hawaii. They’re very protective and very good and they watch over these islands. I must confess, they’re not entirely happy with what they see, with the way the civilization is moving. But they’re patient. They’ve been here for a long time, and they’ll be here long after the human beings have ceased to inhabit the islands. Maui is a beautiful island. It’s really the site of an ancient civilization that we’ve forgotten about, a civilization that existed millions of years ago. When their time came, they left this world and another race was born, the race of human beings.

A dreaming vortex is a place where it’s easy to change. You come to a dreaming vortex like Hawaii to step from one dream into another, from one world into another, to change, in other words. The forces are different up here at the continental divide. The magnetic lines of energy run in specific directions. The United States is divided into power zones. The Divide itself is the point where the energy meets. The Divide is like two rivers merging, at the point of merging there is a great deal of activity. The sunset, it’s neither dark nor light, and the sunrises are the moments of transition. I am at the Continental Divide with the astral beings. They’re most beautiful. They’re most luminous. They have many shapes and sometimes their shape changes constantly, All kinds of colors. I am here at Lake Tahoe and there is magic at 6,000 feet.”

Mysticism – Balance – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“Pure and simple, balance is happiness. Spiritual balance is to be straight with yourself. Only a pure heart, a completely pure heart can house eternity. Most people lead their lives like they drive their cars. There is always going to be pain. There is always going to be pleasure. But what is not always going to be there is balance, happiness. That is a personal decision. In order to effectively interlock with higher spheres of mind and attention, you must have tremendous balance and control. You learn that it is more fun to have control than not to.

Have the right attitude in advanced practice. Feel that you are always a beginner in Zen. They refer to it as “beginners mind”. I feel I am a beginner, always, because it’s true. In martial arts one of the first things that you learn is to be balanced. Balance is the central principle in architecture and design. Balance is a way of trying to talk about being at the center of things. Balance is the ability to be happy in the midst of the most chaotic or even boring or transient circumstance.

Keep your sense of humor. Stay funny. A person with power has control of their emotions. A person with power can stop fear, stop depression, or they can augment a positive emotion. Laughing at fear is one of the best things you can do. When you are afraid, instead of just plunging into panic, laugh. The fear gets really uptight and leaves. To love is to be balanced, to extend one’s self beyond the sense of self. A balanced person will get depressed, discouraged, frustrated and angry sometimes, but doesn’t direct it towards anybody else. If they do, they quickly realize they made a mistake. There is something beyond power. The totality of one’s being. Some call it nirvana. We have a higher destiny. Before you can scratch the surface, you have to bring your life into order.

Sometimes we have to be hard on ourselves. We’ve got to get on our case, if we are being sloppy, lazy, and indulgent. If suddenly you get depressed, it doesn’t have to throw you. You can push those emotions aside. You can cultivate happy emotions or become
emotionless when you need to be very sensitive. There’s no point in getting frustrated at yourself. Just be truthful. Sometimes in life, we have to go backward a certain distance in order to go forwards.  If we have conflicts within ourselves that we have not resolved, then we will find ourselves living inside of these conflicts, not in the realms of light. If you are doing that which is within you, what that part of you that is beyond body would like you to do, then you would not experience stress because you would be very fulfilled.

It is only hard work that brings about results, doing things for others. Forget about your problems. Take responsibility for your life
and make it into something beautiful in the midst of changing circumstances. Balance is the most important of all qualities. We don’t want a little bit of rapid growth and then to stagnate. We want continual growth, continual development, which implies balance, always. Spiritual balance is the principle that allows the mind to be still. You cannot expect the world to settle down, everything to work out, in order for you to be happy. You have to get control of your mind. Spiritual balance is the ability to remain happy, to not be hostile to your neighbor when they are being hostile, and not to get caught upon the trivia.

Learn that happiness comes through self-control and not being angry or jealous. The only one that you really torment is yourself. It is easier to let go and gain new ways of looking at life. Spiritual balance is how you deal with opposition, outside of yourself and within. Go through the things that life gives you to go through, happily. You have to loosen the grip of time, gradually. Spiritual balance is tai chi. It is the center of things. It is the place where yin and yang meet. In the chakras, it is considered the heart chakra, anahata. I am humility, nothing more and nothing less. I am one blade of grass in a sea of grass. I am one wave in an endless ocean of waves. I am one
glowing star in a galaxy of stars. Spiritual balance is the ability to be happy in spite of circumstances

What is essential is to draw the energy of love from your heart and bring it into your mind, as San Exubere said: “it is only with the
heart that one sees rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye.” Never think too much of yourself. Realize you are only an instrument of eternity. Do not get stuck in that terrible trap. You can lose everything. Don’t become a spiritual bigot. Don’t feel that just because you meditate and you are striving for enlightenment that you are in any way superior to any other person. Be even. Be easy. You will last longer on the pathway to self-discovery. You can get stuck in being wise. You can get stuck in having a
developed will. It is very hard to get stuck in being happy. It is too lucid a state of mind.

Sit down and get out a piece of paper and start making lists. Ask yourself, are you in harmony with the things in your life? Are you
adopting superficial values? Are you giving your being enough room? Are you doing new and creative things? A great deal of humility is necessary in the process of self-discovery. Humility is the ability to accept what and who you are at this moment. Advance yourself by advancing others. Do not judge others. Be of service to them, but realize that you are not necessarily the instrument of perfecting and immortalizing others.

Meditate. Inspire others. Spend time by yourself. Manage your career properly. Work at something constructive, that doesn’t injure others, and put your full attention into it. Whenever you take the time to inspire someone, to aid them in their inner search, you’ll find energy will come back to you – unless you are ego tripping or you are trying to manipulate them. The action of giving is in a certain vibratory level, meaning giving exists in a certain plane of consciousness. You can do anything. You can perform miracles, but it won’t fulfill you. What will fulfill you is the stillness of eternity. There’s a power that brings us to things, and there’s a power that lets us move away from things, from people, places, experiences. And what you learn to do in metaphysics is accept. It is only hard work that brings about results, doing things for others. Forget about your problems. Take responsibility for your life and make it into something beautiful in the midst of changing circumstances.

Find a teacher and devote yourself to the study, but in a balanced way, not a fanatical way. It is best to study from a teacher of ANY subject, as long as you focus on the teachings and NOT on the teacher. All of the real important answers to life’s questions lie within your own mind. You need a job. You need a career. You need a focus. Otherwise, you will just pick up lots of strange psychic energy because you are not focused. The human life form vibrates at a certain rate, but all vibratory rates are not suitable for human life. So it’s very necessary to meditate on higher octave energy, on the clear light, on joy, on happiness. Throughout the day remind yourself that you are moving through eternity. Be focused. Be centered. Be in the now. Know what is going on in the world. Read a newspaper once in a while.

It is my experience that people who don’t participate in society, who don’t have jobs, who don’t have friends, are just very stuck in
irresponsibility and cultism and all kinds of nonsense. The danger to power is obsession – power junkies. You need a very strong mind and humor to balance yourself. If you don’t, you will get shredded. Some people just chase the glittery stuff and they have no substance to their life whatsoever. Actually all they really want is power. But they pretend they’re interested in enlightenment. Certain drugs provide brief excursions into altered states of consciousness. The problem is that the perceptions and understandings that come from these experiences don’t tend to last. Power plants break up the way you see the world; they can push you into the second attention; yet to continuously take them, weakens the subtle psychical body.

A lot of people trash their subtle physical body with psychedelic drugs. While they do certainly give you experiences in altered levels
of attention, you pay a price for it. They definitely screw up the subtle physical. Hatha Yoga can be good for that. Look for the things in your life that bring you stillness and happiness, not the things that make you crazy. Look inside yourself and look for that perfect stillness. You can detach your attention from yourself and go anywhere. You can wander the universe. Big deal! To go within doesn’t mean to become enraptured with who you are, or to become enraptured with ideas of who you are.

The sign of an advanced spiritual person is that they don’t think they’re an advanced spiritual person until after liberation. In advanced practice there is a sense of commitment to the study. It is happy; it’s never forced. It is a natural evolutionary process of an evolved being. You don’t force change; you just open yourself to its possibilities and let it work through you. It is possible to exert a power over all things, all beings. But we must begin with intent always. Trust that life is guiding you and showing you every step that is
necessary to learn to be perfect. Have faith in yourself. You’ll come through OK. Have faith in existence.

Mysticism – Wisdom – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“Wisdom isn’t to know these words. Wisdom isn’t to have ideas or philosophies. Those are just thoughts. Wisdom is to be that perfect
consciousness. Wisdom, in the world of enlightenment, is not gained through conversation. Wisdom and enlightenment is something that you gain by making the mind still. All of the systems that present different worlds, planes of being and energy centers ultimately fail if you try to make them all-inclusive. They are symbolic representations of something that lies beyond the world of thought and analysis.

The way we gain wisdom in meditation is not by explanation. If you go into the planes of light, you will come out of the meditation knowing things…things that are inexpressible. When you meditate and still your mind, you will gain the wisdom of knowing things in this world, in other worlds and beyond worlds – it just comes to you. Higher meditation is not taught through techniques or words. The real meditation experience is taught inwardly. You shift a person through different dimensional planes.

In order to pass into other dimensions you need to really understand what is out there. A teacher of mysticism is able to explain how to deal with these other worlds and universes. The way you learn is by sitting with the Master, as he moves into those states of attention, you feel that and follow him. He generates tremendous energy when he’s doing anything. You are taught inwardly. A teacher of knowledge and power gives you experiences in other dimensions. They show you that the universe is much bigger and more fascinating than you had ever imagined. They give you direct and immediate experiences in other realities.

What creates happiness, peace and balance is by not becoming simply powerful, but knowledgeable. Will is guided by wisdom. Wisdom comes from introspection, looking inside yourself, probing, studying the wisdom of the teachers, the masters and bringing that into your mind. If you are truly wise, you love life very deeply. You love the things in your life, transient though they may be. You don’t live forever, at least in this life. Life draws us in different directions, sometimes simultaneously. When you follow the direction that life draws you in, if you stay in a very powerful state of mind, then you’ll see eternity.

Keep the deepest feelings of your heart to yourself. They tend to stay more pure if you do. There is a wisdom to that. Ever make a move until you find yourself making it, because it might be too soon. It’s always better to wait. Whenever you’re not sure, wait, and in time you’ll find yourself doing it. To act before then would be a mistake. If you wait till you’re very sure, then you’ll find yourself doing it,
and when you do there’ll be an ease. If you act impetuously, it will be uncertain, and you’ll know it. It just won’t feel right. It is better to wait. It’s always better to be conservative in action. One must always consider the dangers in the world.

When the answer doesn’t come, it’s not supposed to come yet. Don’t make eternity try and conform to what you want. That’s desire. Desire leads to frustration. Real wisdom does not occur here in this physical universe. Real wisdom is something that you have to move into the planes of the highest light to experience. To be wise doesn’t always mean to have a wrinkled face and sparkly eyes. To be wise means to be still inside. Some people get tired of continual perception of the finite universe. They feel the perception of the universe over and over in variant forms is kind of an unhappy condition, because it doesn’t last. Wisdom is to see the difference between nirvana and this world, this self-reflection that the mind creates.

The world is a grain of sand on the beach of Eternity. Eternity is a grain of sand on the beach of Infinity. The ocean of Nirvana connects
both Eternity and Infinity without connecting them. Know this and you will be free. All answers are only found in the super-conscious. It takes us to a point where we don’t ask questions anymore because that part of us which would ask goes away. Wisdom is seeing that there are templates in the universe that you can follow. They will show you what to do and what not to do. In order to see them you have to make your mind very quiet, very still. There is a wonderful continuity of being, the continuous awareness of self, a sense of yourself continuing in time and space.

It is only when you realize that you are mortal and yet immortal simultaneously that you begin to realize that the beautiful
incongruities of existence aren’t incongruous at all, but rather perfect. The universe is perfection. But there are different views that universe provides for itself to view itself. Beyond all views there is nirvana. Wisdom is the ability to do two things at once, to be in the world and enjoy it and at the same time, to be in the realms of light, to be in samadhi. Children are wise in a funny kind of way. They haven’t developed so many vested interests of self. There is a wisdom, a lack of self-consciousness, that is innocence.

True wisdom is to see and understand your relationship with the universe. When you gain that relational knowledge, then you are wise. There is wisdom in not letting anyone really know who you are or what you are like. If you define yourself, people hold you in their mind a certain way making it difficult to change. A person of knowledge and power never goes out looking for battles. All
their battles are within. This world only brings things apart that come together, and brings things together that weren’t together. Tragedy brings us closer to ourselves – it’s the only thing that does. Honestly admitting what you lost and not trying to rationalize it or
push it off is an important step in self-assessment and mindfulness.

If you are truly wise, then you reflect the universe and you are relational in your approach to things. You are a mirror of infinity.
That is wisdom. The ultimate intelligence of all things is your essence. Your mind is the universe. Your body is all things. Knowledge is the ability to love, the ability to feel, the ability to probe the depths and the heights of life. It is the experience of the experiencer, and at the same time, it is beyond that. The only loser who walks away from a wise man is the one who walks away. Suffering follows the lack of wisdom. The universe is complicated and we’re not going to get it all in one night or one incarnation or one infinity.”

Taoism – Quotations by Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz

yoga-nidra1

Zen Master Rama, Dr. Frederick Lenz:

“There is another kind of wisdom, the wisdom of following – the wisdom of not taking the lead with your ego. In the West the wise are usually thought of as leaders. In the East, the wise are very often though of as followers. We know we should be completely humble.  We should stop thinking that we’re very marvelous because we’re not.  We are interesting at best because we are a part of life. Allow immortality to work through you. Be but a mere instrument. And that instrument should be so absorbed in the perfect perfection of
existence, that it knows not even that it is absorbed. Be in harmony with the Tao, with the basic principles of creation. To not be in harmony with that flow, no matter how hard you meditate, you will not be happy and you won’t be liberated.

The pageant of life is divided into yin and yang. They’re two circles. You can follow either circle and manage to develop enough speed to move beyond this world to other worlds, dimensional realities. In the West when you talk about yin and yang, people normally think of yin and yang as something that’s linear. But in the east we tend to think of yin and yang as circles. They’re two circles that actually can lie on top of each other, yet they remain separate. Wisdom is knowing that if you bend, you don’t have to break. Sometimes it is necessary to go with the flow of life.

Without innocence, nothing can further, as they say in the I Ching. Learn not to be attached to other people, to certain types of
experiences. Allow the flow of life to guide you wherever it is supposed to and accept with equanimity, with balance, with poise,
whatever happens. Unconscious of the existence of Tao, beings live supposing themselves to be separate from the universal intelligence, supposing themselves to powerful or to be weak, thinking that they live their lives and die their deaths.

Chaos is not disorder. Chaos is the totality of existence. You could call it God. You could use the term, the Tao. I like chaos. It means
more to us in English. Chaos is all things, wild and wonderful, connected perfectly by the life force. You are not anyone or anything in particular. You are awareness itself. You don’t have a particular form. You contain everything or you are contained by all things. What we’re seeking to do is become transparent – a transparent window on reality. But that takes time to do. We’re starting with a very
solid, objectified view of ourselves and existence. If we’re distracted from the continual flow of perfect mind that we’re
in, suddenly everything configures, everything solidifies. Suddenly a shape appears out of flux, a world appears, karmas appear, pasts,
futures, presents, time structures, yin and yang appear.

What we are seeking is the nexus of all possible worlds and states of mind, which is within us. The source of yin and yang is within you.The I Ching tells us that for every ending there is a new beginning. In other words, what appears like a transition isn’t really a
transition; it’s a continuum of existence. If you close your eyes for a moment the room will appear to go away. But does it really? Open your eyes again and the room will still be there. That’s all death is. Buddhism teaches us not to want things, not to avoid things, not to be upset by the loss. In the I Ching, there’s a hexagram that says, “Be like the sun at midday”. View all things as being equal.

Enlightenment is part of everything and so our minds have to be very big to encompass all things, to understand all things — To see the Tao in a grape, the act of sexuality, meditation, work, play, taking a shower, brushing your  teeth, being sick and hurting.”
